W tym sensie moje obrazy przyjmują niekiedy charakter krytycznego komentarza, próbując ujawnić napięcia i pęknięcia obecne w rzeczywistości społecznej, a jednocześnie otworzyć przestrzeń do namysłu nad rolą i sensem sztuki."

"Creation, for me, is a process that always begins in the mind of the artist and ends in the understanding of the viewer. Between these two points there exists the work itself – a space of encounter in which neither anyone nor anything can be omitted. I build interiors whose doors remain closed, but I also create those that can be explored, moving through successive rooms. Some are massive like the walls of a castle; others tremble and sway at the slightest gust of wind. At times I hear that I distance myself from the viewer, yet at other times that I allow them more than they would wish; that I do not care about them or that I become too familiar. Both sides are right – unambiguity is the enemy of art.

In my work I consistently combine image and word within a single field of meaning, treating them as equal elements of visual coexistence. I write directly on my paintings because I believe in the strength, universality, and effectiveness of the message conveyed by words. In my view, text is like photography – it attracts time and holds it still, yet when it coexists with an image it becomes liberated and generates unlimited spaces of interpretation.

I am interested in the moment when the process of creation meets what life itself brings. It is within this tension that a work comes into being. I consciously and consistently strive to create a synergy between these two realms, so that within a single space personal experience, reflection, and openness to the viewer’s interpretation may coexist.

In my most recent series, my attention has increasingly turned toward social issues concerning both the experience of the individual and the functioning of various social groups. I am interested in matters often overlooked by the mainstream media – uncomfortable, difficult, and painful topics that rarely become the subject of deeper reflection. In this sense, my paintings sometimes take on the character of critical commentary, attempting to reveal the tensions and fractures present in social reality while simultaneously opening a space for reflection on the role and meaning of art."
