„W 1985 roku rozpocząłem proces tworzenia „niekończącego się” cyklu obrazów pod tytułem „THE SHOW MUST GO ON”. Będący zapisem zmieniającego się czasu, różnorodności otaczających nas sytuacji cykl kontynuowany jest do dzisiaj, a jednolita wysokość obrazów pozwala na tworzenie coraz to nowych znaczeń, skojarzeń i kontekstów. Rozrastający się cykl zmienia się poprzez tworzenie nowych części, ale także przemalowywanie starych. Przekraczając swymi rozmiarami granice „postrzegalności”, projekt stał się rodzajem malarskiej instalacji. Nie można go ogarnąć jednym spojrzeniem, trzeba go oglądać krok po kroku, kadr za kadrem. Na całość składa się obecnie około 170 części będących zapisem zmienności zdarzeń i zawierających element nieprzewidywalnej kontynuacji.”
Urodzony w 1959 roku w Lublinie. Absolwent Państwowego Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych w Lublinie (1979) oraz Wydziału Malarstwa PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku, w pracowni profesora Kazimierza Ostrowskiego (1985). Od 1988 roku pracuje na ASP w Gdańsku, prowadząc od 2015 roku Pracownię Malarstwa na Wydziale Malarstwa. Profesor tytularny. Zajmuje się malarstwem portretowym, ściennym oraz rysunkiem, grafiką komputerową, czasem wciela się w rolę organizatora i kuratora wystaw. W latach 1997–1999 był członkiem zespołu realizacyjnego Polskich Cmentarzy Wojennych w Katyniu, Miednoje i Charkowie.

“In 1985, I began the process of creating an ‘endless’ cycle of paintings titled THE SHOW MUST GO ON. As a record of changing times and the diversity of situations surrounding us, the cycle continues to this day. The uniform height of the paintings allows for the creation of ever new meanings, associations, and contexts. The expanding cycle evolves through the creation of new parts, but also through the repainting of older ones. Exceeding the limits of ‘perceptibility’ with its scale, the project has become a kind of painterly installation. It cannot be grasped in a single glance; it must be viewed step by step, frame by frame. The whole currently consists of around 170 parts, recording the variability of events and containing an element of unpredictable continuation.”
Born in 1959 in Lublin. He graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Lublin (1979) and from the Faculty of Painting at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (now the Academy of Fine Arts), where he studied in the studio of Professor Kazimierz Ostrowski (1985). Since 1988 he has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and since 2015 he has led a Painting Studio at the Faculty of Painting. He holds the title of full professor. He works in portrait painting, mural painting, drawing, and computer graphics, and occasionally takes on the role of organizer and curator of exhibitions. Between 1997 and 1999 he was a member of the implementation team responsible for the Polish War Cemeteries in Katyn, Mednoye, and Kharkiv.
