Urodzony w 1953 roku. Absolwent Wydziału Malarstwa i Grafiki PWSSP (obecnie ASP) w Gdańsku, dyplom w 1978 pod kierunkiem profesora Witolda Janowskiego. W 1980 roku rozpoczął pracę jako asystent profesora Adama Haupta w macierzystej uczelni, obecnie zatrudniony na stanowisku profesora nadzwyczajnego. Jest kierownikiem Pracowni Komunikacji Wizualnej (II st.) oraz kierownikiem Pracowni Projektowania Graficznego (I st.) na Wydziale Architektury i Wzornictwa ASP w Gdańsku. Zajmuje się projektowaniem w zakresie grafiki prasowej, wydawniczej, ilustracji, opakowań oraz elementów i systemów identyfikacji wizualnej (CI).

He was born in 1953. A graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts PWSSP (now ASP) in Gdańsk, diploma in 1978 under professor Witold Janowski's supervision. In 1980, he began working as an assistant of Professor Adam Haupt at his home university, currently employed as a professor. He is the head of the Visual Communication Studio (second-cycle studies) and the head of the Graphic Design Studio (first-cycle studies) at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. He works in the field of press and publishing graphics, illustration, packaging, and elements and systems of visual identification (CI).
