(ur. 1998, Wrocław). Absolwent Akademii Sztuk Pięknych we Wrocławiu, artysta wizualny. Współzałożyciel Galerii Pracowni Serwis na południu Wrocławia i członek kolektywu Zbiór. Na co dzień zajmuje się malarstwem, ale tworzy też obiekty i prace cyfrowe. Inspirując się tradycją malarstwa rodzajowego, zestawia codzienne doświadczenia z surrealną współczesnością. Czerpiąc z psychologii, socjologii i polityki, tworzy prace komentujące relacje między jednostką a społeczeństwem, intymnym a publicznym, powagą a absurdem.

(born 1998, Wrocław). Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, visual artist. Co-founder of Serwis Gallery & Studio in the south of Wrocław and member of the Zbiór collective. He practices traditional painting, object art and digital art. Taking inspiration from the tradition of genre painting, he contrasts everyday experiences with the surreal contemporary reality. Drawing on psychology, sociology, and politics, he creates works that explore the relationships between the individual and society, the intimate and the public, seriousness and absurdity.

Duchy

Duchy to artystyczna i zarazem główna część dyplomu Kacpra Wiatraka, opowieść o dzieciństwie autora, gra w skojarzenia. Zawieszone w notatkach myśli rekonstruują się w spreparowanych, malarskich i kartonowych pamiątkach, zestawionych ze sobą w parach. Osiem zestawień obraz-obiekt opisuje dawne historie i stany, nawzajem wymieniając się znaczeniami. Razem dają pełny kontekst odczucia, pozwalają wrócić do scen i osób, które przywołują – finalnie tworząc cykl o dorastaniu, pożegnaniach i poszukiwaniu tożsamości.

Dyplom projektowy to graficzna podróż po Serwisie, czyli galerii i pracowni współtworzonej przez kolektyw Zbiór. Wystawa to prezentacja wizualnego języka stworzonego dla miejsca, zaprojektowanego z myślą o nowej, kulturalnej przestrzeni na mapie Wrocławia

Spirits

Spirits is the artistic and main part of Kacper Wiatrak’s graduation work. This story about the artist’s childhood is a game of associations in which mental notes are reconstructed as handcrafted mementos, painted or made from cardboard. The eight juxtaposed paintings and objects hark back to past stories and conditions, complementing each other’s meanings. Together they provide a panorama of feelings, making it possible to return to the scenes and people they evoke, ultimately creating a series about growing up, saying goodbye and searching for identity.

The second, design part of Wiatrak’s graduation work is a graphic journey through Serwis – a gallery and studio co-created by the Zbiór collective. The exhibition is a presentation of the visual language created for a place designed as a new cultural venue on the map of Wrocław.
