Mam na imię Sara Winkler. Urodziłam się w 1995 roku w Poznaniu. W latach 2014-2019 studiowałam na wydziale Malarstwa i Rysunku na Uczelni Artystycznej w Poznaniu. Na przestrzeni lat pobierałam nauki w pracowniach dra Adama Nowaczyka, prof. dra hab. Marka Przybyła, dra hab. Dominika Lejmana, prof. dra hab. Andrzeja Zdanowicza oraz prof. dra hab. Janusza Marciniaka. W międzyczasie brałam udział w licznych wystawach końcoworocznych. W 2017 roku w XI Pracowni Malarstwa broniłam dyplomowej pracy licencjackiej. W 2018 roku brałam udział w malarskim konkursie Artagon, a także w wystawie nauczyciel-asystent-student, która odbyła się w Galerii Wahadło Foucaulta w Poznaniu. W 2019 roku zostałam absolwentem studiów magisterskich.

My name is Sara Winkler. I was born on 1995 in Poznań. In the years 2014-2019 I studied in the department of Painting and Drawing at the University of Arts in Poznań. Over the years I have been studying at the studio of dr Adam Nowaczyk, prof. dr hab. Marek Przybył, dr hab. Dominik Lejman, prof. dr hab. Andrzej Zdanowicz and prof. dr hab. Janusz Marciniak. In the meantime I participated in the end-of-year exhibitions. In 2017 in the XI Painting Studio I defended my bachelor’s diploma. In 2018, I took part in the Artagon painting competition, as well as in the teacher-assistant-student exhibition, which was at the Foucault Wahadło Gallery in Poznań. In 2019 I was a graduate of master's studies.

Album rodzinny – wspomnienia z dzieciństwa

Prace malarskie mają swoje źródło w fotografiach z osobistego albumu rodzinnego. Są próbą rekonstrukcji wspomnień z dzieciństwa. Rekonstrukcja nie ma na celu oddać faktów zdarzeń z przeszłości, tylko zobrazować to jak te zdarzenia jawią się w mojej wyobraźni. Elementy takie jak pamiątki-zabawki i zaciemnione wnętrza pokojów, są impulsem skłaniającym do retrospekcji. Wspomnienia z dzieciństwa składają się z obszarów kompletnej pustki, niepamięci oraz ,,błysków’’, czyli momentów zapamiętanych z najdrobniejszym detalu. Forma wspomnień, które są zderzeniem niepamięci z pamięcią, wpłynęła na kompozycję obrazów. Buduję je na zasadzie kontrastów: dominującej ciemności i fragmentów światła, gęstej farby i jaskrawych laserunków, ostrych, geometrycznych figur i obłych, miękkich form.

Pictures have their source in photographs from a personal family album. Paintings are an attempt to reconstruct memories from childhood. The reconstruction is not on purpose to reflect the facts of past events, only to illustrate how these events appear in my imagination. Elements such as souvenirs-toys and shady interiors of rooms are impulse for retrospection. Memories from childhood consist of areas of complete emptiness, oblivion and "flashes", moments remembered with the smallest detail. The form of memories, which is the clash of memory and oblivion, affected on the composition of the pictures. I build the paintings by the contrasts: the dominant darkness and fragments of light, thick paint and light layers, sharp, geometric figures and rounded, soft forms.
